Amritsar with Wagah Border Tour

Day 1:- Arrival in Amritsar

Arrive in Amritsar and check into your hotel. After freshening up, visit the Golden Temple, the holiest Sikh shrine. Spend time walking around the Amrit Sarovar and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Don’t miss the Langar, a free community meal served to all visitors. Next, visit Jallianwala Bagh, the site of the 1919 massacre. Explore the Martyrs’ Memorial and see bullet marks on the walls. Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Day 2:- Amritsar Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit Durgiana Temple, a beautiful shrine resembling the Golden Temple. Then head to Mata Lal Devi Mandir, known for its unique design and vibrant atmosphere. In the afternoon, explore the Partition Museum, showcasing India’s partition history. Stroll through Hall Bazaar for souvenirs, including Phulkari embroidered items and Punjabi juttis. In the evening, visit Guru ka Langar at the Golden Temple or relax at Sukhchain Lake. Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Day 3:- Wagah Border – Flag Ceremony

Drive to Wagah Border for the famous Beating Retreat Ceremony in the evening. Watch the dramatic flag-lowering ceremony between Indian and Pakistani border forces. The atmosphere is filled with patriotism and energy. After the ceremony, return to Amritsar and enjoy local dishes like Amritsari Kulcha and Chole Bhature. Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Day 4:- Departure from Amritsar

After breakfast, visit Ram Bagh Gardens and the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum to learn about the history of Punjab’s greatest ruler. You can also visit the Samadhi of Maharaja Ranjit Singh before heading to Amritsar Railway Station or Amritsar Airport for your departure.

Day 5:- Manali to Dharamshala

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Dharamshala (approximately 6-7 hours). Dharamshala, nestled in the Kangra Valley, is known for its Tibetan culture and the residence of the Dalai Lama. The drive takes you through beautiful mountain roads with spectacular views. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, you can visit the McLeod Ganj Market for some shopping, where you’ll find Tibetan handicrafts, jewelry, and other local souvenirs. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

Day 6:- Dharamshala to Chandigarh – Departure

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Dharamshala and drive to Chandigarh (approximately 6-7 hours). You’ll reach Chandigarh in the evening, where you can visit Sukhna Lake, a man-made lake perfect for boating and a peaceful walk. If you have time, explore Sector 17 Market for last-minute shopping before your departure. Later, drop off at Chandigarh Railway Station or Chandigarh Airport for your onward journey.
